Breeding of Chickens & Hens
Specialist breeders generally handle poultry breeding. On these breeding farms there is usually one cockerel to every ten to twelve hens.
Fertile eggs are sent to a specialist hatchery, where the eggs are placed in incubators with controlled temperature and humidity. The eggs are turned regularly before hatching after 21 days.
