Ducks & Geese
Ducklings are usually reared in well-ventilated purpose-built housing with plenty of space. They are slaughtered at six to eight weeks old.
97% of ducks sold in the UK are home-produced Pekin ducks.
Geese breed only in the spring. After the first four to five weeks of life, geese are reared outdoors and some are brought inside at night. Their diet is supplemented by special feeds.
